National Eat Outside Day
August 31st is National Eat Outside Day. Did you know that? This unofficial national holiday was news to us, but we couldn’t help but jump on the band wagon and help spread the news! After all, we would really like homeowners to get outside and enjoy their lawns.
At Canopy Lawn Care, we believe that homes should be a place of rest and relaxation. That is why we set out to change the lawn care industry and make sure that customers enjoy their lawn care service and ultimately enjoy their outdoor spaces!
In honor of National Eat Outside Day, we would like to encourage each of you to get outside with your families, put down the devices, and enjoy some fresh air.
Here are a few ways to celebrate National Eat Outside Day:
Have a picnic!
Whether you head to a park or just lay a blanket down in the back yard, National Eat Outside Day is a the perfect day to throw a picnic. Get the kids involved. Have each family member contribute one item to the picnic, whether it be a snack or perhaps just take charge of bringing along the napkins! It is an outdoor activity that you can do together.
Throw a cookout!
Do you think your neighbors know that it is National Eat Outside Day? Invite them over for a last minute cookout. Keep it casual. Everyone can bring a dish to pass. It is a great opportunity for fellowship and fun.
Take a hike!
Get outside to explore a new trail. Take a bike ride or go for a hike. Find out what kind of trails the park system in your area has to offer. Pack some healthy snacks to go and take a break to have a little nibble and explore nature.
Make a summer salad!
Don’t spend all your time in the kitchen preparing a meal. We found some delicious summer salad recipes on Raleigh Moms Blog that are simple enough to throw together tonight!
